MARKFORT Anthony John, Age 73, of St. Paul, Born into Eternal Life on December 21, 2024. Preceded by hisparents, Anthony Sr. and Evelyn; brother Glen (Linda); godson Alex Canchari; granddaughter Megan Bruski. Hewill be deeply missed by beloved wife Vickie; daughters Katie (Tim), Marie and Toni (Brandin); brothers Clem (Kathy), Jim (Pam) and Pat (Kathy). Also survived by grandchildren Tyler, Nathan, Andrew, Lincoln & Kennedy; many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Visitation 12-4 pm January 6, 2025 at Sandberg Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial at Transfiguration Catholic Church, 10:30 am Tuesday, January 7, 2025. Visitation one hour prior to Mass. Luncheon after Mass at North St. Paul VFW. Private interment at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorials preferred.

Anthony "Tony" was in some of my classes in grade school and junior high. I remember him in Mr. Richter's 6th Grade class and he got me into a little trouble. Nothing bad, but at that time I was a bit upset about it as I missed recess because of it. I really do laugh about it now. Years later I saw him and his wife at a volleyball / basketball game at St. Jerome's School. His daughter is a year older than my youngest and they played on the same team. It was fun to see him again and reminisce about school memories. You will be missed Tony.

I also remember Tony Markfort very well from our days at Gladstone Elementary School. I remember that he had a big personality which sometimes got him into a bit of trouble with the teacher. But he really knew how to make me laugh!
