Brian Listerud

March 20, 1951 - September 25, 2000

MISSOULA - L. Brian Listerud, 49, departed this world early Monday, Sept. 25, 2000, of injuries suffered in a vehicle accident near Roundup. A memorial concert will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 5, at the First Presbyterian Church, 201 S. Fifth St. W., in Missoula.

Brian was born March 20, 1951. He was a Minnesota native who was very devoted to his children, his music and his students.

Brian was preceded in death by his father, Lowell Fred Listerud.

He is survived by his mother Carol Mae Alseth, and his three children, Lowell Jason Listerud, Bjorn Carl Listerud and Solveig Christine Listerud.

Recognized widely by a multitude of awards and honors as a talented musician and vocalist, he was ardently active in music performances, both as a teacher at Big Sky High School and as a church choir director. He was also active in the Sons of Norway Chapter, Normanden Lodge 424.

Memorial gifts may be directed to the Big Sky High School Music Scholarship Fund, Big Sky High School, 3100 South Ave. W., Missoula, or to the First Presbyterian Church for the education of the Listerud children.

Arrangements are under the care of Garden City Funeral Home & Crematory.
