September 23, 1951 - October 24, 2022

Passed away after a long and courageous battle from multiple health issues. Richard is a graduate of North High School in North St. Paul Class of 1969, and New Mexico State Univ. US Coast Guard Veteran, avid gun enthusiast, Oakdale Gun Club Store Manager. Preceded in death by parents, Don and Betty Sheffler; brother, Andrew. Survived by wife Marie of 46 yrs; son, Adam (Bobbie); brothers, Bruce (Edna), Charles (Jill), and Timothy; sister, Sarah Buehrer and brother in law, Joe Foss (Dawn), and several nieces and nephew. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred for later distribution to the VA Health Care System. Gathering of friends and family beginning at 2PM to 4PM, Saturday, October 29, at O'Halloran and Murphy-Woodbury Funeral Home (8700 valley creek Rd, Woodbury). Interment,  Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
