I came across this website and I saw that you had my dad David Quant on your remembrance page. I just wanted to give some info about him because he always spoke about fond memories from high school and I also heard that his good friend Mark Resong passed as well just a few months after my dad. My dad passed away on June 18th, 2005. He was 54 yrs old when he passed away from organ failure. He was on a transplant list but unfortunately one did not come in time. He now has 7 grandchildren, 4 of which he had the joy of meeting before his passing. I would love to hear about any memories people may have had about him in his younger years as well. We miss him terribly and I thank you for including him on your class website.
Sincerely,
Stacey Quant

Another of my fellow University of Minnesota Car Pooler's.  I can still remember 5 adult guys squeezing into Dave's black VW Bug.  One lucky guy got to ride upfront with Dave.  The other 3 guys squeezed shoulder to shoulder with backpacks and briefcases in the back seat!  I can still see Dave trying to get his windows to clear on the bug.  It would not warm up for miles during the winter.  It had small plastic inserts into the windowsl  He would use a scraper to clear the ice and fog up as he drove.  He was a great guy!
