Earned a B.A. in English. Got clean & sober in 1977. Chose to be a single parent, then married a retired Air Force officer when my daughter was 5. Completed a Masters in Health Services Administration & became a LICSW.
Worked as administrator of mental health and substance abuse programs in Rochester, MN and the Twin Cities. Served as Executive Director of Touchstone Mental Health in Minneapolis from 2000-06.
My first husband passed away in 1995. Mutual friends reunited me with my first love, Ron Bell, who was widowed the same year. He was a social work supervisor in Hennepin County. We married in 1997. Made many trips to Jamaica and Mexico, lots of time fishing in MN. We had five wonderful years of being retired together from 2011-2016, when Ron died suddenly.
These days, I create & revise resumes, help people with editing their websites & marketing for nonprofits, sing in a choir at MacPhail Music, enjoy hiking and spending time with my family.
