Linda Low
Residing In: Lake Elmo, MN USA
Spouse/Partner: Michael Nebur
Occupation: Marketing Manager at 3M - retired 10-1-2010 (YAY!)
Children: Melanie, born 1973 with first husband Howard Gilbert. Melanie married Patrick Birke (grew up in Edina) More…in Oct 2005 -- they have a wonderful daughter (Rosalyn) born March 2009. Pat works at Target headquarters and Melanie at Digital River here in the cities.....both are brilliant software engineers - which is shocking because I can't find the on/off button half the time. Oddly enough my Dad was in charge of converting Northern Pacific RR from a paper to computer based company...being one of the earliest companies to install massive IBM data processors at their HQ in St. Paul.
My 2nd husband Mike Nebur and I have a son, Nicholas, born 1987. He is the cook at Phils Tara Hideaway in Stillwater. Another fluke cuz I can't boil water!
Comments:

Went to work at 3M right after high school. Went to St. Catherine's and Cardinal Stritch nights and weekends to get my Bachelor's degree. Last job at 3M was Sales/Marketing Manager for Scotch tape in the office channel. Retired 10-1-2010 after 41-1/2 years. So glad to be done working and having a life again. We built our house in Lake Elmo in 1986 and bought a vacation home on Lake Superior in 2005. My husband Mike is a North High graduate of 1970. He worked at Modernistic in Stillwater. We're both retired--never intended to work so long - always thought I would be a housewife (how radically politically incorrect that is nowadays!). The irony is - now I am!! And loving it! Cheers and affection to all my childhood friends.

Hi Dee - so sorry to read that your son passed away at such a young age. You had to be very brave to get through that. My sympathy and a heartfelt "virtual" hug.

Hi John
Always good to see updates on St. Peter alumni. I have to say those were the "best years of my life" from the standpoint of innocence, no stress, no working (other than dishes and trimming the sidewalks which my Dad made me do). Seems to me, if my memory serves, you gave the nuns a run for the money on a few occasions. I remember sitting in the 'locked' position (feet together, hands clasped) when one of the Sisters got angry about something. Whoa....God forbid they might even call Father Shea to straighten things out.
Sounds like you have a great life and maybe there'll be another St. Peters reunion to go to. I tried to attach a photo of our two classes at maybe 8th grade? Not sure if it worked or not!
Anyway - hope you have a Happy birthday!

Hi St. Peter Alum!
Who would have thunk we'd be in our 60's anyway? I turned 63 in March and since we were in the same class, I assume you are in the same range....still working tho? I retired 4 years ago from 3M. 42 years there and the last 5 felt double that by the amount of work and stress. I LOVE BEING RETIRED! Now my job is going to lunch with friends.....at least twice a week since I retired! That's my kinda work. Well you look great and maybe St. Pete's will have another reunion. I missed the last one.
Take care
Linda
