Intriguing question. The answer, of course, is LIFE. I tried to be a nurse, but I found there were too many sick people...h-m-m. Went to Europe for six months to "figure it all out", had a great time, but was still clueless. Came back, fell in love, married RL McPeck, a Goldsmith in Mpls, and had two wonderful daughters. We built (literally) a great log home in Northern Minnesota before the marriage waned. (We're still friends.) A blur of single parenting took up the next few years, until I ran into and married (oy vie') Greg Liesenfeld (Hill High) an old high school boyfriend. We moved to Wisconsin and bought a summer fishing resort, which I ran for 18 years. (He worked for 3M.) I also worked for Wisconsin Children's services as a Parent Aide, and for the Clayton WI Public School system as a Middle School At-Risk
Coordinator....remember "Kotter" and the "Sweathogs"...a real job!
GJ's mid-life crisis ended that fun, so I moved to Florida...sunshine and anonymity. I bought a house with an ocean view and a pool...helped ease the disappointment! I finally decided what I wanted to be when I grew up, so I went back to school and obtained my BFA in Sculpture and Ceramics. My primary focus is carved alabaster, but I also work in wood, clay and mixed media. I also became a licensed Life Coach, with a small private practice. (Feast or famine as an artist!) I work primarily with non-traditional students, business start-ups or reorgs. and those mid-life crisis blues. I am currently in the process of writing a Creativity Seminar that I would like to launch this Fall. (Anyone in the Human Potential field? I would love to talk with you.)

I have accept a real job! (I know, what's up with that?!) I am the New General Manager of this areas largest Whole Foods and Deli.(Love Whole Foods and Deli, Ormond Beach, FL....Yes, that makes me the General Manager of Love!) I have been showing my art and jewelry there for years and a devotee of their philosophy. An unexpected twist, but one I am excited to explore. The store owners are also interested in incorporating my seminar and life coaching work, and they want to expand the deli! A job made for my interests and skill set! I am really happy. Unfortunately, I won't be able to attend the reunion now, but I have enjoyed catching up and perhaps, the next one!
Life is good, but I miss Midwest values, Midwest-Nice, real Culture, and most of all, my family. I guess regular vacations will have to suffice for now. At least I get to interact daily with some really great people and help promote healthy living and spiritual awareness.

I love to read. The last books I read were "Nudge" (Thaler/Sunstein), People of the Book (Brooks), "Moyers on Democracy" (Moyers)and "The Gnostic Gospel of St. Thomas". Politically, I'm a Progressive Democrat (living in Florida, that keeps my debate skills sharp!) Spiritually, I am an Unitarian. I belong to a meditation group and volunteer for the World Peace Global Initiative. I love to swim and beach-comb. I am a very accomplished cook and have been threatening to write a cookbook for years!
I'm happily single, but no known aversions to relationships. I've had enough therapy to be harmless, and I try to keep my sense of humor alive.
Looking forward to the next 40 years...So many sculptures to make, so many books to read, so many friends to make. Life, ah, sweet Life!
